However, IF the parent - synonymous with a DRIVING FORCE - continues to be applied then the swing grows wider and wider, higher and higher.
AT SOME POINT a critical threshold is reached and instead of regular, periodic motion the arc of the SWING grows great enough that the Child on the Seat rises SO HIGH that the swing abruptly changes it's character completely.
