Sorry, but I just do not believe for even one minute that these lunatics care one iota about the planet. Nor do any of them actually buy into this whole “carbon footprint” nonsense that has been repeatedly debunked by actual scientists. They simply want citizen/slaves sequestered away in concentrated urban dwellings aka 15 Minute Cities so that the populace is easier to control.

Really? These clowns know that there is no global warming. It's just a scam to control the public. It's got nothing to do with saving the planet or reducing carbon emissions.

Are human a source of "carbon emission"?

We're a source of CO2 (carbon dioxide) that has been demonized by leftist "scientists" although without CO2 being provided to all plant life, they and we both perish. That's because plants produce oxygen that keeps us alive during the photosynthesis process.

I believe this is the absurd narrative of the commie climate warriors, who are too ignorant to realize they are advocating the end of life as we know it on Earth.

Not too far removed from the vax jab advocates nonsense, but just as deadly.

Onward, Christian soldiers!

Either you're afraid to come out and say it, or you're being naive.....the carbon that they're looking to eliminate is you. Time is short. Survival of the fittest coming

Good points but your picture looks like a really nice van, I wouldn't mind living there, look at those lovely views!

Agree. When I am older, that is how I want to live. Drive to here and there, ....

Nothing wrong with tiny homes or a minimalist lifestyle but EVs aren’t going to happen. At least for most people. For one thing the amount of minerals you would need is prohibitive. For another thing the grid simply doesn’t support the charging infrastructure. Many other problems with energy density and batteries as well.

Someone should tell those child miners in Democratic Republic of Congo to dig faster.

The mini home movement and people living in camping vans are really the quasi-homeless. They are not homeless but just a haf a set from it. It's the only thing they can afford.

In the St Louis area there are a lot of new residential construction, but it's lots and lots of apartments, in massive apt complexes. Just a sign of the new housing normal for America.

I have nothing to say, nice or otherwise, about EVs. BUT I've been reading survival sites and frugal blogs, etc., since I first found them and there's not a damned thing wrong with living in small homes! I routinely buy small homes, one bed, one bath generally, refurbish and rent immediately. They're affordable and they're small enough that I've only had single people rent them which is why I think no one's ever defaulted on rent. (Having kids and stay at home spouses will leave you wide open for non-payment of rent and trouble evicting you.)

I just read a much better article about why it's hard to buy homes for the regular family anymore: https://robertreich.substack.com/p/getting-wall-street-out-of-our-houses
