I would not be surprised to see a large outbreak of yrsinia pestis in the LA area, as it travels largely by the fleas on rats and is endemic in the US southwest. Sooner or later it will make it into the cities! Possibly also Phoenix,Tucson, San Diego, and even Albuquerque. It's when the rats and street garbage proliferate that such major outbreaks historically occurred...
