But when Peter pulled his to fight the Romans (they wanted Jesus to overthrow them) Jesus had Peter put his sword away. Why? Jesus , when He told Pilate He was a king, he told Pilate don't worry I'm not coming to overthrow Rome, because my Kingdom is of the Truth, it is not of this world or in the Greek cosmos (structures/systems). Jesus said if it was, His servants (not followers but angles) would come and fight. Jesus is making reference to His second coming.
We do have an obligation to protect the innocent and our families but in a world where law and order has broken down that fie line of what is justified in God's eyes and murder will be a very fine line that will be very easy to cross over. Our relation with Christ must be solid and strong or we will get caught up in the fog of war and become lawless like they are and I will be binging judgment down on myself as well. Remember going through these times is not about survival per say. But it's about faith, hope, righteousness, mercy and love. It's about real courage in sharing and living out the Gospel so that we might save some. And if I have to lay my life down for that to happen, my I have the courage and faith to do so, So be it Amen.

Actually America is very tame when it comes to abortion. In 2023 there were about 890,000 abortions in the USA. Globally there were about 72,500,000 abortions. That's 0.01% of all abortions occurred in the USA. In the USA that's 1 abortion for every 370 people. Globally it's 1 abortion for every 100 people. The civilized west, N America Europe have the lowest rates. It's the rest of the world that are the worse baby killers.
We should not gloat over the ones God has called to be damned. It is by His grace and His grace alone that you are not one of them. Scripture tells us it is God's desire for all men to come to repentance, but He also says these things are regrettable but must take place. That is the heart of Christ, not being a mocker.
We will have to wait and see but in the meantime being prepared and ready is easier on the soul. I live out in the country from a city that's been known for gang warfare and violence for decades. I would not want my eyes or my face sprayed with the hornet poison. And as opposed to nothing for self-defense, the hornet spray is easily available over the counter.
Bear spray (a little stronger? than regular pepper spray) can be readily found online, sporting or gun stores. There are different sizes, strengths. Effective range is 6 to 10 ft. As with hornet spray, make sure of wind direction. Aim for eyes, nose, mouth. Warning-- May not be legal in all states.

Oh I like this idea! The only thing I have is a billy club that my dad willed to me when he left this earth.
