What is going to change is that the dollar is going to collapse in the next year or so, so we’ll like be around 51 quintillion in debt as the printing presses run nonstop so that people can buy a billion dollar load of bread.

Sadly, I think I am only exaggerating just a little bit. Musk is cute with his whole DOGE thing. It is like trying to fix a leaking porthole on the Titanic.

I'm pretty sure we passed the point of being able to repay it back in 2012. Fiat currencies have a 100% failure rate.

Many countries have declared bankruptcy.

That’s what we will have to do, and the sooner the better. Start over.

51 trillion? Really? Not one of us can even start to fathom what one trillion is or what it means, let alone 51 trillion. Give me a break.

We are doomed as a country. If you are not a born again Christian—buckle up, it’s going to get a little (no, a lot) bumpy.

Rather than discuss spending would you be so kind to calculate savings instead? Such as closing all 800 bases abroad for starters. Or at least the vast majority.

The real question should be......does ANYONE in this most corrupt government in known history, even give a crap???

Short answer NO!!!

One should ask the tough question, how does someone worth very little, get elected to congress on a salary of $125,000, and within a few months, become a millionaire??

We could begin taxing billionaires rather than letting them pay nothing while forcing the poor and middle classes pay instead.

Oh, who am I kidding, the dumbest nation on earth just elected billionaires to ruin us even more.

Millions of us have worked for decades to stop the spending, we aren't ashamed, we did all that was within our power to put a halt to it and still are working to put a halt to it. Here's the reality, at this point all foreign funding must cease, all funding to global entities such as the un must cease, all illegals removed from the nation post haste, all foreigners accessing the public feeding trough must be cut off, our border must be closed, federal government must be slashed, that's just the start of what has to happen.

Michael,

Total govt spending in the US is abut $10T in a $25T economy. This is the problem. All dollars spent by government come from citizens, from their property, assets and income. All government spending is deficit financed as govt does not generate any of the funds to pay its bills.

In 3 and 1/2 years, total government spending at all levels would eclipse total US Fed Govt debt.

If one wants to cure the debt problem, sharply reduce all government spending. But that won't happen in a system in which government can take all the money it pleases and spend accordingly.

Trump and his hoard of DOGE, republicans, RINOs and retardicans are going to be big, big spenders. We are in the final stages where it's balls-to-the-wall. No expense will be too big and government will NEVER shrink. Heck, they are giving Zalensky another $6 billion for pocket change just for the hell of it. $51 trillion by 2029 is easily do-able.

I guess it is better to see what Silver, Gold, and Bitcoin will do versus what the debt cannot do now.

I know that 51 trillion dollars of debt in 4 years is just illustrative. At 51 trillion dollars of debt in 4 years the United States of America, as we know it, will no longer exist. I have no scenarios of what things here will be like, if the country will still be sovereign or ruled by some other country or entity, but I do know none of us will like what will become of the USA under that amount of unrepayable debt.

If Trump even takes office, the Jackass party is still mulling over preventing him from taking office.

He will have to veto bills, which will shut down the government, and make everyone unhappy.

Trying to keep our country alive is going to be painful, before it gets better.

If the Jackass party doesn’t further sabotage the country so it might even be able to get better.
