We will veto that UN security Council resolution. A UN mandate will be just what Iran and Syria and all their proxies want. It actually will make things worse. It, under the current state of war would like declaring a cease fire with out getting either side to sign on first. If there will be peace, it must be done between the Waring nations and that's not going to happen just yet.
The current UN leadership wants a two state solution and will try to dictate the terms to both sides, but in the end both side will have to agree and that is just not going to happen now. It's just a resolution it has no real enforceable power. This will continue to play itself out.
If Israel is concerned Iran will retaliate with assets that could cripple Israel, it only makes sense the next strike will be massive and against all the air bases and misslie centers that have the real deadly weapons including nuclear weapons that I have no doubt Iran already has. There is a plan on the table to do just that but it would take Israel and all it's allies to do it. They could as they did with Egypt in the 67 war wipe out all their ability to extend their military, geopolitical power beyond it's borders but then there is the risk of Turkey Russia and the rest of the Arab world getting involved (WW III). We shall see.

It would be ironic, because Israel was formed after a genocide as well
