Besides this is being driven by forces outside of scope of American politics, i.e. the huge corporations and banks (the FED) and they are totally independent of Govt control. He will do what he did with the abortion issue. He was fully pro life, but when he saw all conservative pro life candidates lost across the board in the last mid term elections, Trump is backing off a solid pro-life stance because "we will lose elections." So in the end he is all about one thing, power, winning elections a true pragmatist. The outcome of the next election if we even have one will not be good no matter who wins.

And I can't understand the thinking that might come from the Biden administration (and that includes the CIA) for thinking that escalation is the path forward. We have lots of their citizens here that will go after leaders in this country who initiate these conflicts.

Well we won't lose sovereignty per say. There will be a sovereignty nation called America. All internal issues the govt will deal with as long as it's within international guidelines, external issues will be pretty much prescribed by global govt.

I fear the answer to this is that God's here, but we as a people have chosen paths away from Him, and as such, we are subject to the evil perpetrated by the rest of the evil folks. They are running out of viable troops, even prisoners have been used up. Now Putin is training high school students not only about dealing with nuclear attacks but basic military skills; "New military-focused curriculum includes senior students learning to handle Kalashnikov assault rifles, hand grenades and aerial drones."
Why? they are running out of man power. They need kids now to defend the Motherland. Why?
They are running out of conventional force capabilities. They are no longer thinking about conventionally extending influence outside it's borders, but to just protect the mother land.
Russia has and still believes the west's ultimate goal is to get rid of the communist govt in Russia and replace it with a western friendly Govt. Ref the fall of the USSR 1991. That is exactly what they saw as what happened in Ukraine and they now believe Russia was next. Thus the next step is all out war, nuclear war a war for survival.
Just the hint of Ukraine bringing in older 4th generation f-16s will trigger a nuclear attack. Why?

China's stock market just crashed again, their currency is down and debt is 3 times worse than America's. They see their only hope of survival is to take control of the western pacific and get rid of America as it is today. Another conflict seen as an ultimate fight for survival.

I'm readily aware the people that are supposed to be our benevolent representatives don't give two, hmm, hoots about the citizens. It's power they have and want to maintain.
