MY daughter has been working for Samaritan's Purse in Ukraine for a Year. She works out of Kiev. 75% of the country has not been really effected by the war, it's just in the far east and south. Kiev when hit has quickly recovered each time and life goes on. It's an absolutely beautiful city and there are no real shortages even up to now. Most of even the Russian people in the east and south don't want this war but they don't want to be part of Russia either. They are truly in a catch 22.
