Do I know what is coming? Yes. Have I taken steps I can to prepare? Yes. But I also know it's not me against the world.
The absolutely safest place to be is in the very center of God's will, with His Spirit guiding the steps your life. Some may have been called to be martyrs, some may be called to be in the middle of the chaos, o the front line, to be light in darkness and save someone for eternity. Can't do that when your running away and our primary concern is your own survival. No greater Agape love is there when a man lays down his life for his friends, even his enemies.
I've read the last chapter, I see how this ends, it's not pretty and there is really no place to hide unless the Lord provides, because God has ordained the persecution of the church even onto death to purify His bride, to sift His church in these last days. Where is the boldness and the courage (faith)? What has happened to the truthful living of considering all men better than ourselves and become a servant of all to be great in God's kingdom.
What good does it do me, f I survive all of this deep in my bunker and lose my soul. We are not to fear men for all they can do to us is kill us (and in God's eyes that's no big deal) because the body is disposable meant for the ash heap of history the grave but the soul is eternal. My primary goal is not survival of the body but the soul and if I had to sacrifice my body to save my soul, would I do that? Jesus did just that for us on the cross. Jesus said we need to love Him more than our own life, do we really believe that? And if we did, who would that effect our actions and attitudes.

Yes and no on Tennessee. I live here and love it but east tn has a minimum of 10 nukes aimed at it. The new Madrid fault goes from Indiana down the Mississippi and west but also east Tn
The nuke plants in rhea county are built directly on top of the line. So with one in Alabama to drift north exposure , the plant in Chattanooga and Rhea tn will drift north East.

Also, be 100 miles upwind of a nuclear reactor, and 800 miles downwind of a Caldera or Nuclear Reactor.
That's it for a location. Part II is to build a storm shelter of some type to protect you from the (radioactive) jet stream dropping to the surface with 250+ MPH winds that are upwards of 700 degrees (worst case). And uncontrolled fires throughout the nation.
Storm Shelter: LoL - you don't want a bunker! Those are death traps. The best engineering solution by far is a Monolithic Dome, covered by 12 feet of dirt. Surprisingly easy to do, and quite inexpensive in comparison to a home. 4 builders can build a 4,000 square foot facility in less than 4 months. That will easily hold 2-3 dozen people long term, and several times that in a short term storm or crisis. So it can be done for about 2-3 grand per person for a basic shelter. More for equipment, food, supplies, filtration equipment, excavation, medicine, and so on.
Which brings up a very good point. The most difficult problem to solve (by far!) is air filtration from radioactive ash, and scrubbing the carbon dioxide out of the air. That last part is especially important if/when you have to close up (seal) your Dome or Storm Shelter and recycle the air. There are lots of commercial solutions for filtering outside air and generating oxygen. I haven't found any economical ones for scrubbing carbon dioxide.
From there, you simply need to fine tune your "Homestead," and add features such as backup power, water well, windmill, property defense, and so on. There are about 70 catastrophic to cataclysmic events coming our way starting later this year (2024) and running through the cycle end in 2030.
