The funny thing about collapse of a nation or civilization is that there usually isn’t one event that causes things to go from fine to awful overnight. It is usually a combination of things that happens, that a healthy civilization would be able to respond to effectively. It is when the civilization is sick and already in decline that these things add up and eventually crash the whole system. And, ironically, a lot of times, the cause is due to changes in weather conditions or some sort of natural catastrophe. Helene was the equivalent of the bombing campaign unleashed on Germany, maybe more. It looks like Milton is going to crush Florida again. How much is lost from those two events?

In a healthy nation, we would recover, but we are so far in debt now that it is beyond description. We are also fighting moral rot and weakness in our leadership that would be instantly recognizable by people in the late Roman Empire. There’s not going to be coming back from this, and the slow trickle of people from hurricane prone regions is going to be a flood. That is going to cause a whole other level of economic pressure in a system which no longer can take those stresses.

It’s not going to be pretty…

Excellent points! The collapse of Civilization is now greatly accelerated by weaponized technology. What took decades can take place a few years or less.

and there are no such things as coincidences. God is bringing Judgement onto America. Don't complain, why should we bitter about what God is doing in the lives of Americans?

Thats exactly it. All of this is judgment. People want to look for a 'reason' why all of this is happening. ITS JUDGMENT.

Just plead guilty for a lighter sentence.

While I have sympathy for Helene's victims in the mountains of Appalachia, I don't give a hoot about the big corporations that are mining the quartz and lithium up there. The electronic products that they are used in are of no benefit to mankind. The electronics are responsible for causing more harm than good.

Wikipedia says "Almost all the industrial demand for quartz crystal (used primarily in electronics) is met with synthetic quartz produced by the hydrothermal process."

I don't understand the need for high purity natural quartz. Maybe an input source of high purity natural quartz is required to create synthetic quartz?

The beautiful towns devastated by the destruction of homes, business, schools, life in general. Thank you for sharing the beautiful quartz region seen some from there years ago best thing one this planet in my opinion. Many thanks about getting to know Jesus Christ as our savior is also very important. For anyone that has dogs and cats that have been affected there is a veterinarian in assisting pet parents free of charge https://www.newearthvet.com/hurricaneresource

Natural Quartz, is produced all over the world

N Carolina, California and (Arkansas #1) are the major producers of natural quartz in America.

Globally though, Brazil, China and India spruce pine quartz production are 1, 2 & 3 where America is only number 4. This will clearly put a dent in the production and also be inflationary but it's no catastrophic. There are enough global resources and other states here that will be able to makeup for the loss in N Carolina. The big hit is lost jobs and the local economy that may never recover because buyers will have to go elsewhere unless they can beat the going global price.

Lithium,

America produces only 4% of the worlds lithium, and that is in 3 states, California, Nevada and N.Carolina. This will have about a 1% impact in production.

But again the real impact will be to the local economy that may never recover for the same reason of capitalistic competition, they may never recover.

The big issue is the issues of Globalism and not local. This is part of just let America rot agenda by the globalists. Most of these places will never be rebuilt. Just go back to New Orleans after Katrina, large areas that were flooded were never rebuilt, there is nothing new under the sun here, it's just the agenda of the globalists showing from the weather to the spending they are in total control.
