I think the problem is the vast majority of Americans today cannot even fathom that war can come to our country. Let's face it, no one that has a heritage of living in the US has ever experienced war at their door. I have to go back to my 2nd great grandfathers for a civil war vet and most today would have to go back to 4X that....or none. War is just something that happens to other countries, half way around the world and our lives go on. Unfortunately most are not prepared for the "what if's" I honestly hope I am wrong and things go on in some sense of normal but I don't think I am. And all that "conspiracy theorist, prepper" label means to me? If I am wrong I will have a boat load of stuff to donate to my local city mission. No matter what plays out, there is always someone worse off than you are.
