The US Treasury is now issuing new Treasuries to service interest debt on its existing Treasuries, while increasing the national debt by new money creation at $1Trillion every 90 days. Additionally, there is an estimated $8Trillion in existing 10 yr. & 30yr. US Treasuries that must be "rolled-over" FY 2024. The Federal Reserve and the US Treasury, (because of their greed), have condemned the US monetary system into the inescapable "Keynesian-Debt-Trap".
While Wall Street economists are now loudly forecasting interest rate reductions in September, the immutable forces of the "Keynesian Debt Trap" - and the exit on foreign ownership of US Treasuries; will force the FED to raise, not lower, interest rates to attract buyers of US Treasuries. The only other pathway to lowering interest rates in September is for a giant QE move by the FED. Whereby the Federal Reserve purchases the $Trillions of new US Treasuries. You can almost hear the "hoofbeats of distant horses" as inflation shifts into "Hyper-Inflation".

Just an observation brought to mind by the vast Walgreen closings. I have noticed over the years that Walgreen's (or CVS) put up a store a stone's throw away whenever a competitor opens a new store. They do this even when they have their own store a short distance away. It's not just the drug stores that do this. Lowe's and Home Depot follow this trend. Even supermarkets, where the profits are supposedly low, do it. Gas stations are another example. Businesses may draw customers from the competition, but they also draw away from the own stores. This does not seem to be a particularly smart business plan. So, I have little sympathy (except for the poor consumer who has to figure where to go) for these big corps.
The crazy thing is that a bunch of Rite Aids are closing in my area. Customers are being told that their prescriptions are being transferred to Walgreens.
I used to love my local Walgreens, but you can tell that the pharmacy staff is overworked for the volume they’ve already have. It’s been this way for a couple of years. I imagine the service will get even worse, if Walgreens even stay open now.
