On the other hand last November I was driving very close to the border with Gaza and we came across a large wall with a small entry way. We had no idea what it was until we drove through and encountered a military base on the left side of the road. It surprised me that no one stopped us, not to mention the fact we found ourselves between Gaza and a military base. I had seen the following monument on the map and decided to see if we could get there. We did but we saw almost no other people for quite some time.
We visited quite a few Palestinian cities in the West Bank as well without any issues, but I now see their names, Jenin, Nablas, Hebron in the news regularly and not for good reasons.
All wars in the last 100 + years were started by events that were allowed to happen. It's how the world roles we wrote the book on it. Why do we always as American Christians make Israel as the bad guys. This is how the world works.
