I was just remembering the Viet Nam protests at the end of the 60s. The comparison between them and the current batch is stunning. It occurs to me that the difference is that the protestors then were actually young adults. Even though people were extremely upset, there was a little adult-level self-control. Today children at the same age now have the maturity of pre-teens. They may have young adult bodies. But young people are no longer trained how to be an adult. How far we've fallen.
