And Jesus answered them and said: "“Watch out that no one deceives you. For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah,’ and will deceive many. You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of birth pains."

“Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved. And this Gospel of the Kingdom of Heaven will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.

So when you see standing in the holy place ‘the abomination that causes desolation,’ spoken of through the prophet Daniel—let the reader understand...............For then there will be great distress, unequaled from the beginning of the world until now—and never to be equaled again."

I watch a channel, DeceptionBytes, on Rumble. On the episode titled "The Alternative News You Need to Hear" and the forth story down there is a post on X from DeviPotvin. She described strange elephant behavior on elephant preserves in Africa. The elephants are all restless, acting strangely and moving to higher ground. The animal behaviorists reached out to other elephant/animal sanctuaries and they are describing the very same, peculiar behavior. They sense something that we humans don't.

Wikipedia says: "Ordinary tsunamis, even those associated with the most powerful strike-slip earthquakes, typically do not reach heights in excess of 30 m (100 ft).

By contrast, megatsunamis are caused by landslides and other impact events that displace large volumes of water, resulting in waves that may exceed the height of an ordinary tsunami by tens or even hundreds of meters. Underwater earthquakes or volcanic eruptions do not normally generate megatsunamis, but landslides next to bodies of water resulting from earthquakes or volcanic eruptions can, since they cause a much larger amount of water displacement. If the landslide or impact occurs in a limited body of water, as happened at the Vajont Dam (1963) and in Lituya Bay (1958) then the water may be unable to disperse and one or more exceedingly large waves may result."

Howdy PocoPete,

FIRST post here at Michael's place. Previously, I WAS "JustOneGuy" over at SHTPLAN.com and when that disintegrated I mostly lost a desire to post...till now. First, credentials are in order...

BS - Physics, separate BS - Mathematics, specializing in 'Computational Mathematics', MS - Nuclear Engineering (gotta pay the BILLS)

I am a HUGE fan of Poco anyway, so naturally your moniker intrigues me; well chosen...

El Hierro in the Canary Islands is onesuch potential source of a titanic landslide into the Pacific. Potentially capable of letting loose some few hundreds of cubic miles of debris into the Atlantic abyssal depths.

There HAVE been others far back in history. Ultra-precise Sonar Bathymetry studies of the area northward of the Hawaiian Islands revealed just such, several years ago. Enormous 'blocks' of material strewn across the ocean floor ranging up to 70 miles off the coast, upwards of a mile (or more) square. I *believe* that I here am recalling Molokai...but as I am getting TOO DAMNED OLD forgive me if I err in that assertion.

Oddly enough, an Alaskan geologist employed by USGS had extensively studied the local strata in and around the Gulf of Alaska shoreline facing Hawaii and was at a loss to explain HOW deep ocean, coral encrusted rocks had been cast up to - in places - 500 or more feet...until he acquainted himself with the massive *Molokai* slide detailed by another branch of USGS, ie, the mentioned Bathymetry.

THEN it all clicked together and subsequently he definitively dated the corals cast up as occuring contemporaneously with the *Molokai* slide.

The Pacific Northwest is simply 'terrifying' for want of a better word. Recently, a 5.4 Tremor occured exactly on the border of Idaho and Washington State. Why should that here be germaine: SIMPLE, the subduction of the Juan De Fuca plate UNDER WA is unknown in it's full extent...which COULD range from as little as 50 miles under Western Washington OR could extend much, much further inland indeed. In any event, seeing those recent tremors in Idaho is not comforting inasmuch as there are no identified distinct faultlines in that vicinity. (?)

When a significant amount of plate is subducted into the underlying mantle gargantuan strains develop within that plate.

Imagine attempting to take a 4' by 8' sheet of Insulboard insulation and TRYING to force that down into a pond, edge-on, LONGWISE. Certainly, almost regardless of how you hold it, there will come a point where it manages to just slightly 'tip' and as soon as it does then the bouyancy will snatch it upwards, likely breaking it off in your hands.

The fear lies in not knowing just how FAR inland the JdF (Juan de Fuca) extends INLAND under WA State. Very, very occasionally deep 'dikes' such as that, such as underlying the Himalyas, those similarly positioned under the West coast of South America (in each case pushing up associated mountain ranges) SNAP and a bouyant chuck of lighter, crust rises UP under a section of the Earth we walk upon.

IF a truly major seismic event - equal to or exceeding - the enormous 1700 quake that submerged the Neskowin 'Ghost Forest' occurred then a 'submerged plate RUPTURE' might - just might! - result...and God help us all if it does.

I hope to make the acquaintance of many hereabouts...since if you ARE 'here' then CLEARLY you have learned to use your head as something other than simply a 'Hat Rack'. There are NO stupid questions...only STUPID answers, FWIW

Well-Met Everyone...

Cheers, JOG

Jesus' disciples asked Jesus what would be the signs of His (2nd) coming and the end of the age.

Jesus said, “Watch out that no one deceives you. For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah,’ (the man of sin) and will deceive many. You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of birth pains.

( Is it not, what we are seeing now is just the beginning of the birth pains and not the tribulation of the second coming)?

Then Jesus says, what happens after the birth pains, persecution is first on the list,

Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. (the global church will be persecuted even to death). Who is the one who does the persecuting? Where is he today?

Rev 13:7 It was also given to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them, Dan 7:21-22 It was also given to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them,

Rev 6 When the Lamb broke the fifth seal, I saw underneath the altar the souls of those who had been slain because of the word of God, and because of the testimony which they had maintained; and they cried out with a loud voice, saying, “How long, O Lord, holy and true, will You refrain from judging and avenging our blood on those who dwell on the earth?” And there was given to each of them a white robe; and they were told that they should rest for a little while longer, until the number of their fellow servants and their brethren who were to be killed even as they had been, would be completed also.

So who is doing this to the end time saints?

The Anti-Christ will rule the world in the end times and will demand people worship him as God (a false God). All people will be required to deny faith in Jesus Christ in order to receive the required Mark of the Beast that allows you to buy and sell under the Anti Christ system. True Christians who believe in Jesus Christ will refuse to deny Jesus and will not worship the Anti-Christ. The penalty for refusal is beheading.

Those who take the Mark are eternally denying Jesus and their souls will die forever and be burned in the lake of fire. This is all written in the book of Revelation.

I'd be interested to hear what respectable seismologists and volcanologists say about these earthquake swarms. Are they more concerned as a result of them, or are these earthquakes a good thing because they're releasing pent-up pressure?

Steve Quayle did a DVD or VOD on the Cascadia range: "Yellowstone is just a distraction - Cascadia is the big one". The Cascadia range has 11 of 18 of the most dangerous volcanoes, so maybe these earthquake swarms are a harbinger of something bad. Also, if I recall correctly George Gruvor had an End Times prophecy regarding Cascadia which I think was linked to war / invasion with Russia and China. Not trying to hype fear porn, just letting folk know that there is info out there if you want to know more and do a little investigating. You can get the DVD for 30 USD at Gen Six.

Wait till the heavens start shaking and rolling up like a scroll. Will the God hating reprobates still be chanting their climate change delusions ?

Men’s hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken.

And they will cry out with shouts of victory over you.” Jeremiah 51
