We used our own compost, chicken manure (my uncle was the #1 poultry producer for Tyson), and horse manure (from our horses) for our one acre garden. All our fruit trees and veggies grew so fast and super sized!

WHAT REAL FARMER WOULD NOT HAVE AT LEAST THREE YEARS OF FERTILIZER STORED UP? I LIVED AND HAVE BEEN OUT IN SERIOUS FARMING COUNTRY and even Amish lived there. NO ONE IS THRIFTIER OR UNDERSTANDS THE IMPORTANCE OF "ECONOMY".. what you do think all thiose SILOS out there are for? decoration? SO.. LET's hope that Generations of farmers have no forgotten generations of DROUGHT, RAIN, LACK OF MONEY and the threat of the family farm being confiscated by Bureaucrats.. Yes and I am a Christian too.. so I will let that be up to God as well. The Bible is filled w/ farming events. famine, stewardship, drought, deluge.. :)
