The unconditional surrender comment was sort of odd to me. Air power can accomplish a lot, but it can’t occupy the ground. Maybe Trump is thinking that if Iran is bombed enough, it will essentially collapse as a viable country. The Iranians are not the Afghans, where I’m not sure that they all know what electricity is. It is a relatively more urban nation and major disruptions to their infrastructure could in theory cause a social collapse that would lead to that sort of outcome. I do think it’s likely that the Iranian people may rise up after enough of this, but that’s not the same as unconventional surrender or being able to enforce it. Trump needs to clarify what he is thinking there, or maybe he thinks it just sounds good or something.
That aside, deployment of aircraft is expensive in a lot of ways. I don’t think that would be done if no one was planning to use those planes. I do think that this rapid deployment shows that something is not quite right with this picture. Trump was not given a heads up as to what was going to happen, the Israelis overextended themselves, there is a credible threat of either a dirty bomb or closure of the straits of Hormuz, something. Otherwise, these forces would already be in place. We may never know the actual truth of the matter, but I don’t think anyone is controlling events right now as much as they would like to.
To the contrary, Iran is a sophisticated and educated country on a par with the US until these goat rapers came to power in 1979. Despite being repeatedly betrayed by US Presidents, Iranians love the US and would be, in my opinion, staunch allies if we treated them honestly and fairly. Oh, and Death to Khameini!
I think my language could have been clearer - I meant to say that the Afghans were unsophisticated and could endure privation more easily than the Iranians, because they have lifestyles built around it. Yes, I have known a number of Iranians and thought well of them. Again, my apologies for the confusion.

Secondly, if in this process Trump blunders into a war with Islam itself, then a number of allies and neutral countries will be forced to turn against the USA (and Israel) by their own people. The USA seems to have already forgotten how vulnerable it was in 9/11, and ignored how much more vulnerable it is today with cheap drone and hacking technologies. A Muslim uprising against the USA would be difficult, perhaps impossible, to defend against.
DESTROY IRAN NOW. THE REGIME HAS BEEN FUNDING TERRORISM SINCE THE REVOLUTION. THE MOMENTUM TO DESTROY THEM IS STRONG NOW. ITS THE ONLY OPPORTUNITY FOR THE ISRAELIES AND THE US TO RID THE SCROUGE OF THE MIDEAST WHILE THE IRGC AND MULLAHS ARE ON THEIR KNEES OR RUNNING LIKE RATS TO SAFETY.
