Trump has immense leverage over Zelensky. Zelensky will cave because he has no choice. Ukrainian mineral rights are just a means for the U.S. to recoup the billions stolen by the Ukraine War Cabal. Trump is practical and will not risk a nuclear holocaust, over Ukrainian mineral rights.

"One of these days, the Russians could use those subs to launch a surprise first strike on the United States, and if that happens it will be the end of our nation as we know it today." It would be the end of Russia as we know it today as well, in fact, it would be the end of the world as we know it today. World War 3 is a zero sum war, the entire world loses.

Watched Trump today and he is measured and cautious how he describes Putin .

Why this hang over of Russia being the enemy?? Why do you think they are? They aren't. And... Putin said we can work a deal for Russian minerals. Don't take everything you hear from Trump as literal.

Exactly. Look at Russia's history; they are a tough, resilient people who've been through fire . They know what war on the home front is like; America doesn't.

Putin does NOT want war - he invaded Ukraine because, as Len said, he would not tolerate missiles on Russia's doorstep. Trump, despite being full of it, basically wants peace, realising the consequences of nuclear war. No winners. Even if you're in a bunker.

I suppose it's too much to ask that ALL countries mind their own business, keep out of the affairs of others and PAY for whatever they want (rare earth minerals, for example).

Hey! I'm going to write a book based on this theme: "PEACE PAYS" ... I wonder if it'll sell as many as the doomsters books?

Ukraine and Russia had a peace deal negotiated in 2022. The West wouldn’t let Ukraine enter into it. Specifically, Boris Johnson was sent to stop the deal.

Ukrainian regions voted to align with Russia. Those elections were monitored by foreign countries. Germany was one such monitoring country.

What did I tell you Michael.

These negotiations were not going to go anywhere and not end well.

That's why Putin first took the eastern part of Ukraine and Crimea, the massive economic value they had. Initially what Trump wants is exactly what Putin wanted; a peace deal to avoid war and give the eastern Ukraine and Crimea to Russia. When that didn't work, Putin tried to take the whole country believing the USA did not have the stomach for another foreign war in the way we got out of Afghanistan. We set Putin up.

Now that his military has been eviscerated (by the western powers), Putin wants peace again, but this time on his terms. He wants all of Eastern Ukraine and Crimea and he wants eastern Europe back as part of Putin's plan to make Russia great again, along with China controlling all of the western pacific with Taiwan as two key parts of supplanting the west as the dominate player in world politics.

With Trump announcing even before he was president, that he would make a deal for peace in days, was exactly what Putin wanted to hear. Trump budding up to Putin and trashing Ukraine is again exactly what Putin wants to hear. Now Putin will really dig in his heals since Trump exposed his hand before he was even at the table. Trump negotiated from a position of power in the middle east and look at the success he had. In Ukraine Trump is negotiating from a position of weakness, wanting peace at all costs. Does Trump have the mind set now with Russia as the new British Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain had with Hitler before WW II. You can't appease tyrants who want to control the world.

YOU CAN'T NEGOTIATE WITH NATIONS THAT HAVE A POLITICAL AGENDA TO DESTROY THE USA, EUROPE AND ALL THE WESTERN POWERS AND THEIR ECONOMIC IMF DOLLAR SYSTEM.

Trump is strong in the middle east because Russia and China do not have a big stake in that area yet since both are focused on Ukraine and Taiwan. He believes he can get away with it and not start a world war. But if he plays it the same way in Ukraine WW III would come.

Putin knows this and will push Trump to start WW III and capitulate. If that happens Trump can't make America great again, that is why Trump needs to make this deal. MAGA needs world peace.

Trump wants to draw Russia away from China to isolate her and thus set the stage for another negotiated deal with China, to bring world peace and make America great again.

DO YOU UNDERSTAND THIS IS THE GLOBALIST AGENDA SINCE THE END OF WW II. MAKE THE WEST THE DOMINATE WORLD SYSTEM AND SUBDUE RUSSIA AND CHINA BY ABSORBING THEM INTO THE CAPITALIST WESTERN SYSTEM. THIS WAS GOING TO PLAN UNTIL PUTIN AND XI CAME ALONG.

Every war that was ever fought was over money power and control in the economic world. Even the American revolution was over the worthless American Continental money system the British forced America to but and trade in while England could use real money, silver.

So here we have another war over, as Jesus would say manna (money) for the love of stuff that has value is the root of most all evil like war.

This will not end well, and open the door to the Anti-Christ to bring world peace and Trump will embrace him because the Anti-Christ will offer to make America great again but at a terrible price.

The agreed-upon boundary will include 2-3% of those minerals. The remainder fairly goes to Russia. I think that’s the peaceful solution.

The US govt isn’t going to recoup a dime. This is for private corporations to swoop in and take all of the minerals and profits.

Agree. The buried lede is that ‘rare earth elements’ are not all that rare. There are actually plenty of most of them in the US. The problem is that they are expensive to extract, mining for them is often a by product of mining for other things like copper, gold, silver, and the environmental regulations make it nearly impossible to extract them profitably.

Extracting them also virtually destroys the land…to wit the Bidan Administration denied a planned project (with a 20 year moratorium) in MN that would have mined molybdenum and other rare earths in order to satisfy the environmental whackos who threatened to oppose his denomination.

The moral of the story is no different than any other when it involves exploitation. The US govt would prefer to exploit the resources and citizens of another country, versus making the hard choices of whether to do the same at home, out of necessity.

Everything that is happening over there is posturing and performative. There will be a negotiated settlement, just like there was always going to be from day 1. A million plus dead and a country destroyed for nothing. Other than enriching the war mongers in the US and the corrupt oligarchs in The Ukraine.
