Just curious as to who determines that all these floods are indeed 1000 year floods and 1000 year storms? Is it just fear mongering by the MSM pushing the climate agenda, or do they have actual statistics and measurements?

We recently got stuck on a highway in Mississippi in a lightening storm like none other I’ve ever seen or experienced. Torrential rain. Lightning bolts with no words to describe. On record it was 500+ bolts in a couple short hours. We pulled over under an overpass with another vehicle and just prayed until the Lord gave us complete peace in the midst of the storm.
Wow, you all are very blessed and glad you made it safely. Had to move our of mid central Illinois back in early June and the entire first day of a four-day drive west was walls of water. Was very grateful to actually be on the edges of a major system, so missed it on the lightning aspect, etc., but had my wipers on high virtually all day. Prayed until I could drive a bit calmer. If I wasn't on a very tight time-schedule, I would have pulled over and waited until the next day. It has been a very wet summer for mid-central Illinois this year.
Oh my goodness! That’s very stressful! So thankful the Lord had you on the edge of the storm and you made it to your new home safely. Seems we’re all experiencing “storms” of life in such new and unfamiliar ways. The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble and He knows those that trust in Him. 🙌🏻

It increased atmospheric water vapor by some 10%. I'm really surprised that we don't hear more about this likely connection.
