My honest opinion is that this is all by design; to totally cripple the middle and low income families subjugating them to the dictatorship of the govt. And this is one area that totally irritates me with our current President; stop being a busybody, concerned about Zelensky, Putin, and the Middle East (Iran) and pay attention to your own people who are struggling.

Maybe Trump is trying to stop a possible nuclear WW3?

It appears to many of us that Trump is trying to start WW3.

While I respect your right to share an opinion Just Comment, I really don't think that's the case here, I.E. that Mr. Trump is trying to stop WWIII. IMO, he sees himself as the global alpha male and he thinks he has to get involved in everyone else's problems. No he does not nor should he. It just irritates me that so many Americans, me included, struggle every month to financially get thru the month when billions of dollars are continuously printed and spent abroad while most of our own citizens struggle. I'm not saying we shouldn't help out when we can/should, but not at the expense of neglecting our own people. The people in New Braunfels, TX need help, multiple damaging tremors have just struck multiple communities all over the Country, the seniors desperately need financial assistance. You don't take care of everybody else and neglect your own people. I've been to Russia, it's a very prosperous Country. I've been to the Middle East, there's more oil fields over there than you can count. We don't need, nor should we try to be, the world's savior.

Actually JC is correct. After WW I and WW II we set up the world as it is today. Russia and China rose up during that time and opposed that plan and they still do. That is what the BRICS is all about and Putin's desire to take back the USSR empire and China wants to control the western Pacific. We withdraw from that, Russia and China will stand up and give all who are in favor of that a resounding ovation. With America out of the international picture, Europe will fall to Russian influence, China will control all of the western pacific, then what. This was the same isolationism in the USA and Europe that led to the rise of Hitler all managed by the western bankers. They are doing it again. War is coming we can face it now or later but taking our ball and going home will not fix this.

The world’s savior? We are one of the most corrupt nations on earth right behind Israel and Ukraine and can’t even straighten out our own affairs. The 150 year unfolding of the degradation of our country into a modern day Sodom is plainly obvious to the entire word and we’re a laughingstock to those that see our hypocrisy. A church on every street corner yet we’re mired in cultural rot and rampant criminality. Is this where being a Christian nation got us? We couldn’t have done worse as a pagan nation, which as I’ve read in many sources that Christianity grew out of paganism. It makes sense when you look at our landscape. It reeks of putrefaction.

"But two-thirds of middle-income Americans are bracing for a recession within a year"

So then what are we experiencing now? The good times? Just what an absurd statement to make that "Americans are bracing for a recession within a year."

We're in the death grip of a full blown economic collapse right now! A "recession" would be welcome improvement. How can anyone expect to be taken seriously making such ridiculous comments? We could all be standing in the middle of a radioactive ash heap by this time next year and some imbecile will be warning us all that if we don't get things turned around we could slip into a recession in the next year or two.

Well, if Disney didn’t make horrible movies that nobody really wants to see, then more people would still be employed. Some of this is really is their own bad management decisions.

At least, they are being honest about not being able to prop up their system anymore. That’s a lot more than we get from our government.

Great article sucks for us doesn’t it. This plus the collapse of healthcare insurance will mean that the population of the US will tank so Putin can just come over and become President of America. Putin won’t let tRump live and then Putin will start throwing snotty American billionaires out of high windows!!!

Just Comment's avatar

Not likely. Putin has plenty of his own USSR problems.

If you bought a home in Spokane for $22, 450 back in 1975, you would be dead today. My home I bought in 1987 for $68,000 is now worth $285,000....would be a better example of home costs back then.

PJ4Ever's avatar

I was mature enough in 1975 (though in my early 20s) to purchase a home and at last count, I''m still here.
