This is why we need to stop bringing people into this country and get rid of the illegals.

I graduated from college in 1972 thinking that I would be successful in finding a job in business management. But there were very few jobs available like that. I finally applied for a job selling business machines for a computer manufacturer. I graduated in the top ten percent of my class but barely made the hiring cut. I had never tried selling anything before in my life. I was 25 and had a baby on the way. I found out that selling a product was more about selling yourself than anything. I worked for four years learning to have confidence in my ability to sell myself and also learned everything I could about the products the company I worked for made. After four years I decided to start my own business with 600 dollars and five credit cards and a newborn baby. 53 years later I've own 6 businesses and am still active in two of them. Some might say I'm a gambler. Perhaps a risk taker.

One has to believe in what he sells in order to be successful...and what I would call "An Oil Wildcat"...which I'm sure you know. You have been Blessed by God

And how about those cheaper labor H1B jobs!

To those of you out there who've made thoughtless remarks in the recent past and continue still today making disparaging comments about your fellow homeless countrymen in need. Along the lines of ...."Why don't they just go get a job".... or something similar. Be very careful about your sanctimonious, judgmental behavior. Tomorrow you could find yourselves on the receiving end of such thoughtless comments. And karma can be a cold dish.

Absolutely! Have any of you noticed the growing number of homeless in your area...then there's Not? It's like they're disappearing. Where are they going? What has happened to them. I have heard this from many friends across the country.

Recall a year ago or so when China's president Xi Jinping visited San Francisco and all the homeless encampments were suddenly cleaned up and the homeless were all moved out of the city. Never to be seen or heard from again. Where'd they go? What happened to them?

I think we have a pretty good idea.....

Medical trials are experimented on lifetime prisoners. Just an example

Highly recommend reading 48 Days to the Work You Love by Dan Miller. A real game changer!

If the Bureau of Lying Statistics is willing to admit that national unemployment rates have now risen to 4.6% imagine what they really must be when calculating with honest numbers! 25%-30%?

I totally agree with you...probably around 35 - 40%

I am educated but I have worked many jobs outside of my "classified" job title. NOBODY is too good to scrub toilets, wait tables, or flip burgers! Period. If you wanna survive you gotta get into survival mode. There's jobs; people just dont wanna do them.

I had the same job search problem after dot com crash. I finally got a job working for the State. I was way over overqualified in training, education, experience, and intelligence. It was a 50% pay cut from my previous job. Now here I am retired with a nice pension. It is a tough slog to get through the applying and hiring process but worth the hassle. There ARE government jobs available! 911 and law enforcement dispatch jobs for example (they are super stressful).
