The only reason I can think of that our gas and oil prices would go up is trading and speculation on the world market. Time to stop the oil we produce trading and making money and let's us our oil for ourselves. Kind of like opening our borders and inviting in people who hate us and are bent on our destruction.

I was working at a gas station in N.Y. during the oil crisis. I remember the last number of your license plate dictated what day you could get gas, odd numbers, odd calendar days, even numbers, even calendar days.
I have never forgotten those days. I told my daughter I would give ten dollars a gallon then not be able to get it. The only thing that helped me was I always got gas at the same store and she was a good friend of mine. I never expected more from her than I could get.

It is my impression that about 90% of our oil comes from the US and Canada. There is no reason for dramatic price increases. Is Big Oil taking advantage of us, again?
Too bad we didn't replenish a good deal of the Strategic Petroleum Reserve before we attacked. While we only get about 3% of our oil currently from the Mideast via the Strait of Hormuz, having the additional reserve would be beneficial for our defense and economy
