I respectfully disagree. Venezuela has been sending drugs and criminals into the US for far too long, and those are acts of war! The Cuban Communist Regime must be toppled too! The drugs coming from Mexico are being sent by non-governmental organizations. On the other hand, the drugs coming from Venezuela are sent directy from that narco-terrorist Regime! I am with President Trump on this!

If it's about drugs, Trump needs to stay away from the oil. If it's about drugs, in total, 81.2 percent of all seizures at ports of entry along the southwest border (specifically, under the San Diego, Tucson, El Paso, and Laredo Field Offices). That Country Mexico, is where drugs are coming from. Trump worried about drugs, going after drug dealers, mafia in America. Oil, Oil, Oil,

We need oil too. I don't want to see big $$$ signs at gas stations either.

Yes, I too will stand with President Trump on his policies towards Venezuela.

There are next to ZERO drugs coming from nor related to Venezuela. No accusations of drugs EVER appeared until bad Americans wanted to steal their oil.

There’s only been ONE person affiliating drugs with Venezuela and that is our lying Antichrist-in-Chief.

Trump continues to bring down the United States.

Magdiel's avatar

On the contrary, he is trying to defend it.

Lol yea right. Wake up and smell the coffee.

Then go after the number one country that sends drugs to America, Mexico.

I agree that something needs to be done with the Communist regime, not sure rewarding Chevron is the way to do it. I know people who have worked in Venezuela and corruption is the norm with their massive Oil resources.

The United States should not start and fight a war against Venezuela because it would destabilize Latin America, and increase hatred toward the U.S. It is better for America to de-escalate tensions and normalize relations with Venezuela.

The Hour Is Late's avatar

Is it even possible for America to be hated any more than it currently is by the rest of the world? Trump appears determined to increase the hatred.

American's have no clue just how deeply despised they and their country are at the moment by the international community. Americans would be well advised to avoid travel to South American countries at this point in time.

Donald Trump is a lost cause! He's become little more than a caricature resembling a rodeo clown asking to be impaled by an angry bull or a circus poodle performing for his demon possesed masters. Which might be entertaining were it not for the unpleasant fact that every American is going to suffer terribly as a result of his buffoonery.

Here’s the best reason to fight Venezuela. It would put maduro out of business. It would save thousands upon thousands upon thousands of American lives. I think that’s a very good thing. Too bad about China. Maybe they can build a few more electric cars and cold plants?

Friends with China. Stupid from first line

The current conflict with Venezuela is fulfilling Bible prophecy. When the Russian invasion against the state of Israel kicks in, the Russian Federation will at the same time launch an invasion of the United States of America. The great majority of Bible commentators can't see what is taking place. Venezuela is in Ezekiel 38:10. The Spirit of the LORD has to show it to the reader. The battle of Gog from the land of Magog will take place during the last Trump administration. My proof that this battle will take place before President Trump leaves office is found Isaiah 17:1-3, Jeremiah 49:23-27. We see the destruction of the American Empire in the aftermath of the destruction of the city of Damascus in Isaiah 18:1, Obadiah 1:4, Revelation 18:8-24

What u r not acknowledging is that Chavez back in the 90s nationalized the Venezuelan oil companies. We had partnered with those companies to set up the infrastructure they did not have to get that oil out of the ground.

Venezuela literally stole those assets from us and cut us out of the economic deal our oil companies had with Venezuela to build that infrastructure and to access that crude oil for them.

We r NOT stealing their oil.

No, Venezuela did not steal American land or oil resources.

Claims of "theft" refer to the Venezuelan government's 2007 nationalization of its oil industry, which involved expropriating stakes from several foreign companies, including American firms like ExxonMobil and ConocoPhillips.

Clarifying the Situation

Nationalization vs. Theft: The Venezuelan government, under then-President Hugo Chávez, nationalized oil projects, bringing them under state control. This process involved seizing assets and property from international firms, not physically taking oil or land from the sovereign territory of the United States.

Compensation and Disputes: Venezuela did pay over $10 billion in compensation to some companies for the expropriated assets, but several firms, including ConocoPhillips, pursued international arbitration for higher amounts, leading to billions in claims and ongoing legal disputes.

Recent Tensions: The issue has resurfaced recently (late 2025) as President Donald Trump, who is now the current President, issued orders for a naval blockade of sanctioned Venezuelan oil tankers and demanded the return of "stolen" assets and oil rights. U.S. officials have also ordered the forced sale of Citgo, the U.S.-based subsidiary of Venezuela's state oil company PDVSA, to pay off creditors and arbitration claims.

Venezuela's Response: The Venezuelan government has condemned the U.S. actions, labeling them as "state-sponsored piracy" and an attempt to steal its resources and effect regime change under the guise of an anti-drug operation.

In essence, the "stolen oil" refers to the commercial assets and investments that U.S. companies lost during the nationalization process, not the physical theft of oil belonging to the U.S. government or its citizens.

You’re saying this like it’s a bad thing.

When I voted for Trump it was because between the thieves and the lunatics I thought the thieves were a safer choice. If I knew that I would get lunatic thieves instead I would vote even harder because this is so much fun.

Has anyone seen Mr Snyder in person or video recently? Ever since Mr Trump fell his way back into the presidency, Mr Snyder’s articles seem increasingly to have been written by the likes of Gavin Newsom since they all take such a glorious anti-Trump stance.
